Late opening of Mowalola’s Silent Madness, with a Curator’s Talk from Jemima Burrill

Late opening of Mowalola’s Silent Madness

6pm – 8pm.
Curator talk at 7pm.

Jemima Burrill has curated three fashion exhibitions at NOW Gallery: What I Like by Molly Goddard, The Come Up by Charles Jeffrey, Rinse, Repeat by Richard Malone.

Jemima sees these exhibitions as an opportunity for fashion designers to have a space to think outside of the box to come up with an unprecedented installation to fill the gallery. From Molly Goddard’s oversized dresses suspended from the ceiling, which invited visitors to embroider directly on to the designs, to captivating artwork and illustrations by Glaswegian designer Charles Jeffrey.

Jemima will talk about how she works with designers to create an exhibition that really expresses who they are as a fashion designer, and how to deliver a powerful installation in an unusual space.

This evening will give guests the opportunity to visit NOW Gallery after hours, and enjoy a tequila cocktail, generously supplied by Don Julio.
